An award-winning architect, Harvey Sherman offers expertise from concept planning through architectural and interior design, to completed construction for homes and remodels in the Twin Cities.
Imagination and problem solving are at the heart of what we do.
Diminishing resources, environmental decline and social division now affect our daily lives. Yet with foresight and intention these can be overcome. Mr. Sherman has been working with these issues since early in his career, and seeks clients who share his values and vision.
Energy and resource efficiency have been a focus of Sherman’s work since the 1980’s, and he believes that zero energy use or net-zero energy ready should be the standard for new homes and major remodels. In 2009 we completed a whole house remodel under the Minnesota GreenStar program and achieved Type IV gold certification. This was part of our continuum of work striving to reduce our carbon footprint and create adaptable house plans for changing needs.
We offer a design-build process, and therefore can guide you through design and construction. We partner with a high quality residential building contractor and rely on other consultants for structural engineering, soils engineering, geothermal heating and cooling as well as solar energy.
Sherman Architecture is dedicated to quality residential remodeling in Minnesota through responsive design, attention to detail, green expertise, remarkable beauty and well-coordinated oversight of construction.
Our first conversation with you will be the beginning of a dialogue about your goals and intentions, in order to develop a program which fits your specific needs.
